What is our lunar intelligence?

Our Lunar Intelligence (OLi) is a hub for designing specialized programs at the intersections of creativity, dreaming, spirituality, and spatial justice. Our vision is inspired by Indigenous West African sciences, spirituality, and philosophy. Just as the mind is part of the body, we are committed to remembering science and research as aspects of a greater spirit.  

Through OLi, we create liberatory frameworks and structures by studying the literature, realities, dreams, struggles, and cultures of the African Diaspora and where these intersect with other culturally marginalized peoples.  OLi is part of a vast living fabric of freedom technologies. It is neither first nor last, but it is undoubtedly unique. 

Our Lunar Intelligence is inspired by the spirit of the moon. It is our way of honoring blackness as a gravitational force, vital in a world that tells us blackness is wrong. Like the moon, we work in the dark to gestate mythical realities, using light methodically, understanding its capacity to harm. We yield to the mystery and the moon's rhythmic effect on our world. It is more than a satellite. It is the embodiment of governance.
