What does our lunar intelligence Do?

*Important Update: As of December 2024, Our Lunar Intelligence will no longer offer consulting services or Federal Technical Assistance.  We will continue providing program evaluation, community participatory research, and education services to grassroots and non-profit organizations.

Our Lunar Intelligence creates specialized programs at the intersections of creativity, dreaming, spirituality, and reparative spatial justice, primarily for African Diasporans and our liberatory accomplices. Though the programs that emerge from Our Lunar Intelligence will change over time, the purpose of work will always exist in these intersections. Our feature programs are ImaginationDoulas and Project Memory. Our services include program evaluation and community participatory research.

ImaginationDoulas

ImaginationDoulas is a creative education platform under Our Lunar Intelligence that builds alternative sites of creative power rooted in Indigenous West African and  African Diasporic spirituality and dreaming traditions. This program is for artists, writers, educators, and culture producers interested in challenging dominant narratives surrounding creativity and imagination. ImaginationDoulas offers online courses and hosts social gatherings and community discussions about creativity and dreaming, fostering a sense of radical inspiration within the ImaginationDoulas community. 

Project Memory (coming soon)

Project Memory is a spiritual reparations project focusing on building the rituals necessary to address ancestral grief and prepare for a reparative future. Project Memory uses the Re/Search Method, developed by Austen Smith and Chloe Green, to remember and invent rituals that simultaneously heal individuals, communities, and the land we live on.
